Comments A wave analyser, or selective level meter, allows you to measure the individual level and frequency of the component parts of a complex signal (for example, the individual channels in a frequency division multiplex signal, or the harmonic ouput of an oscillator). It is basically an accurate radio receiver, with a known gain. The gain is controlled manually, and the attenuator settings added to the level shown on the meter to give the actual signal level. This unit is capable of measuring frequencies between 30KHz and 30MHz.
